Brian graduated high school in 1991. While attending Penn State, Brian and Bryan formed “New Castle Lawn and Landscape.” Since that time, New Castle has grown to over 80 employees peak season and offers all aspects of landscape and snow removal services. Brian earned his CLP (Certified Landscape Professional) certification and his ASM (Advanced Snow Manager) accreditation. Brian’s roles consist of managing the finance department, meeting with clients, attending community board meetings, and being passionate about prompt customer service. Brian also enjoys implementing the latest technology at New Castle. Brian also feels that treating employees like family, benefits our clients in an industry that is not always known for that. Brian loves spending time with his wife Dawn, and daughter Lily. Brian is also an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan…Go EAGLES! – Hire companies who treat their employees like gold. The value that comes along with that will far outweigh any additional cost. Brad Stephenson started his career shearing Christmas trees at a local tree farm. He has now spent more than 25 years in the green industry that he loves. A 1994 Governor Mifflin High School alumnus, he is also a graduate of the Berks Career and Technology Center’s (BCTC) Horticulture program, earning the Outstanding Horticulture Award in his senior year, an honor he proudly displays in his office to this day. Upon graduation, Brad worked at a few companies to hone his management skills before joining New Castle in 2005. In 2014, he earned the position of partner, and now is now co-owner and general manager. Brad’s passion lies in building teams of great people and in challenging individuals to grow. His team has implemented a mentorship program helping local high school juniors and seniors to explore landscaping careers. He is also a member of the “Regional Mastermind Group” presented by the Leadership Development Group operated by Dennis McInee. It may come as no surprise that Brad is also passionate about giving back. He’s an active volunteer with Helping Harvest Food Pantry and at New Castle, he developed a partnership with Habitat for Humanity Berks. In his free time, he enjoys spending his days with his wife, Tanya; his sons, Zhane and Phoenix; and his two dogs, Luna and Walter, as well as Garcia, his bearded dragon. Dan has been working at New Castle since May of 2009 after serving in the Air Force. He has experience in many aspects of landscaping but especially enjoys working on complex projects with many different aspects. Dan works closely with the supervisors to ensure the crews have the equipment and information to best serve our clients. “I enjoy training with the guys to learn about new techniques and materials. The more we know, the more creative we can be and turn any of our clients’ dreams into reality.” When not working Dan enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife Ashley, son Roland, and daughters Samantha and Coraline. I joined the New Castle Team in April, 2015. I graduated from Governor Mifflin High School and bring over 20 years of customer service and office administration experience to New Castle. When I’m not working, I enjoy camping, baking and volunteering at my church. Most of all, I love spending time with my husband Matt and daughters Brooke and Taylor. Linda Mitzel joined the New Castle Team in 2021. She graduated from Bloomsburg University and Philadelphia University and brings over 35 years of accounting experience to our team. She has worked in the oil industry, truck leasing industry and non-profit sector in a variety of tax, accounting and financial functions. Linda is married to Gary and together they have a son, Owen who was also an intern with us at New Castle. When she is not working Linda and her family enjoy hiking together with their golden retriever, Olive and riding bicycle. Adrien joined the New Castle team in August, 2020. She is a graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School and Pennsylvania Business Institute and previously spent 28 years working in the legal field. She is married to her husband Pete and has two daughters – Jenna and Sarah and a cat named Cynthia Clawford. In her free time she enjoys cooking, gardening, volunteering at her church and local music association and spending time with family and friends. Stacey joined the New Castle team in 2014. She graduated Penn State University in 1997 with a BS degree in Ornamental Horticulture and achieved her “Pennsylvania Certified Horticulturist” recognition in 2004. She began her career in the green industry as a greenhouse employee was promoted to Garden Center Manager. Stacey also earned the opportunity to intern at Longwood Garden’s which gave her valuable experience in creating colorful display gardens. Stacey Loves helping clients find plants that added color and year-round interest to the landscape. As New Castle’s Accounts supervisor she works closely with all our account managers to help clients solve their landscaping problems and provide services to enjoy their properties. In her free time she enjoys cooking, camping, and vegetable gardening and spending time with her husband and two busy daughters. Taylor recently joined the New Castle Lawn & Landscape family in August 2021. After graduating from Conrad Weiser High School in 2018, she continued to Reading Area Community College where she received her Associates Degree in Business Administration. After working 3+ years in sales during college, helping others quickly grew as a passion for her. She is eager to provide excellent customer service while building personal, trusting connections with clientele. When she is not working, she enjoys camping, volunteering at her church, and spending time with loved ones. Taylor is thrilled to begin her new journey here at New Castle! Bridgette joined New Castle family in the spring of 2017. She is a graduate of Twin Valley High School and attended Penn State Berks for Art History. She has over 30 years customer service experience and plays an integral role on the team. When Bridgette is not working she enjoys gardening, the arts, cooking, and spending time with her husband Mark and our cats. Andrew became a member of the New Castle Lawn and Landscape team during the winter of 2010. Andrew grew up with an intense interest in the outdoors, and he obtained an Associate’s Degree in Forest Technology from the Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2007. Additionally, Andrew has completed coursework sponsored by the Pennsylvania State University Cooperative Extension, the Morris Arboretum, and the International Society of Arboriculture to enhance his tree climbing and maintenance abilities. Additionally Andrew is a Certified Tree Risk Assessor which is a very important certification to look for when researching Arborists as not all companies will be able to provide this level of expertise. He has also completed Basic Wild Land Firefighting training for PA-130, as well as Oregon Chainsaw Certification. When Andrew is not working to assist clients in maintaining safe and healthy trees, he enjoys archery, hunting, fishing, and being outside. Andrew also likes spending time with his family and his wife and children, Attie, Oliver & Eliana, and playing with his pets. Tyler joined the New Castle team in the summer of 2020. He is a graduate of Governor Mifflin High School. When he is not working he enjoys spending time with his fianceé, Catarina, daughter, Grace, family Dan Macrina is a graduate of Wyomissing Area High School. Following graduation, he worked a few different jobs, one of which included running his own small lawn and landscape company before going to work for the Borough of Wyomissing as an Arborist in their tree department. By the end of 2020, Dan was promoted to Director of Parks and Recreation where he managed 5 full-time staff and over 100 seasonal staff and was in charge of all recreational events and activities within the Borough of Wyomissing. Dan joined New Castle Lawn & Landscape in 2022 and made an immediate impact! Dan plays a key role on the New Castle sales team. Phil has been in the green industry for 20 years. He joined New Castle in the spring of 2012 and is an ICPI & NCMA certified contractor. Phil began his career at New Castle as a construction foreman. After a few years as a foreman he became the hardscape construction supervisor and then became one of the New Castle designers. Along with designing hardscapes and landscapes, Phil also creates all of New Castle’s marketing material. He prides himself in his attention to detail along with excellent vendor and client relationships. Phil is experienced in many aspects of landscaping, hardscaping and graphic design. Although his passion is in creating outdoor living spaces.Outside of work Phil enjoys spending time with his wife Rebecca and their two children, Giada and Noah. He also enjoys hunting, camping and restoring his classic pickup truck. Tricia joined the New Castle team in 2014. Entering the green industry in 2000, she started out as a greenhouse employee and landscape construction crew member. Tricia then earned a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Contracting from Penn State, with a focus on Design and Ornamental Horticulture. Her career as a Landscape Designer has taken her to Washington D.C., Philadelphia, the Main Line and Berks County, where she primarily works on residential design and landscape restorations. A highlights of Tricia’s career was co-designing an exhibit at the Philadelphia Flower show that was awarded “Best in Show” and the “People’s Choice” awards. Another rewarding experience for her, was being a guest Lecturer/Designer in a senior level Landscape Design course at Penn State. Tricia loves to share her knowledge with future landscape designers, as well as, friends and family. She will never turn down a trip to go plant shopping or dig in the dirt with a friend! A graduate of Wilson High School, Tricia and her husband are thrilled to be able to raise their three children in the same community that she grew up in. When she isn’t crafting, decorating or playing in her own yard, Tricia and her family enjoy hiking, camping and tackling home improvement projects. Mark has been in the green industry for over 20 years. He joined New Castle in 2008. Mark is also a graduate of Delaware Valley College with a BS degree in Ornamental Horticulture. Mark is experienced in all aspects of landscape and hardscape installations. Mark works closely with the salesmen to create accurate and competitive estimates for customers and then creating work orders for the crews.“In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my Kristin and 2 sons Kole and Reid. When time allows I enjoy hunting, helping out on the family farm, and being outdoors” – Mark Matt joined New Castle in April of 2012. He is a graduate of Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in Lancaster, PA where he studied masonry construction. Over the past 11 years, Matt has been involved in many masonry projects including brick and block walls, flagstone patios and concrete work. Since joining New Castle, he has become a certified ICPI contractor and NCMA installer. When not at work, Matt and his wife Candace spend most of their free time watching their son Quentin play soccer. I’m a 6 year Veteran of the US Army and I’ve been in the Green Industry for 17 years working for both private contractors and state municipalities. While in the Green Industry I’ve had the rewarding experience of being involved in two Extreme Home Makeover projects and The Neighborhood Stabilization Project for Camden, NJ. I’ve completed continuing education programs including Principles of Horticulture, Professional Landscape Management, and Virginia Horticulture Society Crew Chief Certification. Current member of Professional Grounds Management Society. When not working, I enjoy family time with wife Laurie and daughter Caitlyn. I also enjoy hunting, fishing and handyman projects around the house. I started with New Castle in 2016. I never thought I would be a “landscaper” but once I started, I grew a love for it. I’m an artist by heart, but my medium was painting (acrylic) portraits with an abstract twist. Art comes in many different forms and this is my new form of artistic expression. My other interests are working out, music and food… combine all of these and I have an awesome day. I joined the New Castle family in the spring of 2015 starting as a crew leader with three years’ experience in landscaping and holiday decorating with garden designs and planting and a lifetime of gardening for passion. I believe that landscaping is using nature as art and anything is possible! Since my 5 years as crew leader I took a position as account manager and I couldn’t be happier! I love the one on one relationship building with my clients and really helping to beautify their outdoor spaces. I provide excellent service, one on one with clients, forming a trusting, lasting relationship. I pay attention to details and strive to make landscapes thrive and clients happy. I am in a constant state of growth and change and I’m a firm believer that we learn and grow the most when we listen and help others. When not working, I spend time with my two wonderful children Ellie and Brennen, our sweet dog Star and the love of my life, Rob. I enjoy kayaking, hiking, cooking, singing, and spending quality time with my family. I love surrounding myself with kindhearted people and the team at New Castle is exactly that. I am extremely honored and lucky to be a part of such an amazing company that truly is like family. I have been with New Castle since 2007. I have been married for 12 years to my wife, Guadalupe. I have 3 children, Jesus, Maria, and Juan. I love soccer & and American football. I am a Philadelphia Eagles fan. I am also fluent in both English and Spanish. I just received my permanent residency after a 6 year wait and my family arrived in the United States in 2016. I am very grateful for the opportunities New Castle has provided me. Juan is married to Sandra Carmona and together they have three beautiful girls. He has been a resident for over 20 years and joined the team at New Castle following a career at a golf club. Juan loves working at New Castle because of the team atmosphere and is very proud of the work he does. Devin graduated from Thaddeus Stevens in 2015 and began working in the construction department right out of school. When Devin’s not working he enjoys going to the beach, hunting, fishing and drumming in several bands. Lauren recently joined the New Castle team in March of 2018. She is a graduate from Penn State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences and a minor in Horticulture. She has been working in the Plant health Care industry since 2008 and is an ISA Certified Arborist. When not working, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband, Alex, camping, exploring new places and being anywhere outdoors. Peter has been working in the landscaping industry since 1994. He first worked for New Castle in 1999 until 2011 and returned in February of 2020. His roles include pesticide applications and helping, when needed, in the mowing division. He is a Certified Landscape Technician and just recently passed his exam to become a Certified Pesticide Applicator. He is excited to be back as part of the New Castle family because of how motivating and understanding management is when it comes to the work/life balance. In his spare time, Pete enjoys working in his shop making home improvement projects, fishing, being a “swim dad” and most importantly, spending time with family. He resides in Mohnton with his wife, Sara, and daughter, Kaylee. Chad joined NC in April 2015. He brings with him knowledge in carpentry and home construction. Chad also holds certification by ICPI to install concrete pavers. Prior to joining NC Chad was a sergeant with the Reading Police Department and retired in March 2015 after 30 years of service.

Dan and his wife Vanessa have two beautiful girls, Aurora 9, and Sofia 6. Dan shared with us that they are HUGE Disney fans who travel to Walt Disney World in Florida at least one time a year. They also enjoy warm summer nights on their back porch at home as well as walks through the Wyomissing Parklands where they frequently see plenty of deer and other wildlife!Phil Neri
